Linda Gijzen

Linda Gijzen, MsC, got her master’s degree in Toxicology and Pathobiology from the Radboud University, the Netherlands, in 2016. Since then she is working as a scientist at the Model Development department at Mimetas, the organ-on-a-chip company, in Leiden. There she is involved in the development of a several organ model by using the microfluidic platform, the OrganoPlate®. The goal is to establish a predictive, cost-effective and high-throughput models that better recapitulate the in vivo situation to serve as a tool to assess toxicity, develop new medicines, reduce the use of animal models and studying diseases in a personalized fashion.
